This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Raleigh. They offer a great mix of American Chinese classics like orange chicken and General Tso’s chicken, as well as authentic dishes you’d find at a sit-down dinner in China. The cozy atmosphere makes it ideal for a family dinner. We got the orange chicken, eggplant with basil, Spicy pork short ribs, hot tea and rice; the bill came out to be 70. Highly recommend!

Have dined here multiple times and it has always been amazing. All staff, from owners to front end, are incredibly kind and attentive. Food is probably the best in the area. Pictured are stir fried green beans, dry pot fish, and scallion pancakes. Sichuan eggplant is also a favorite, but I’m convinced you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. This is our go-to for authentic Chinese food in the area for a reason.

May 2025 update: This is third time here, we arrived 15 minutes before closing and Audrey was so kind, made sure that we were taken care of and didn’t rush us at all. Food was amazing as always, we had mapo tofu, spicy lamb, seafood clay pot, fish salt and pepper fry. Again I wish I could do more that one review because I would give them a 5 everytime I went there. Previous updates: Wish we’d taken more photos, but we were a hungry crew and devoured everything within minutes! Every dish was fantastic, with the perfect balance of spice, flavor, and kick—from the green beans and spicy lamb to the cumin lamb, chicken curry, and cabbage soup. The duck was just okay for me, but everything else was spot on. Big shoutout to Audrey for her attentive service—she really took great care of us! Can’t wait to go back!
Went there with friends. Very good location. Not impressed by the atmosphere. Bit food was good enough. Waitresses are super nice. Easy to park.

Acacia serves authentic north eastern Chinese cuisine. Having sampled dishes from China and NYC, the food served here comparably authentic. I enjoyed the appetizers including the cold noodles and the tripe in chili oil. For entrees I enjoyed the lamb and cilantro and eggplant with salted fish. If you’re looking for authentic northeastern Chinese cuisine, I would recommend dining at this restaurant. The popcorn chicken is child-friendly dish.

Overall Rating: 5.9/10 This spot shines when it comes to traditional, authentic Chinese cuisine, but it doesn't hit the mark with American Chinese favorites. Service / Atmosphere: 6.5/10 The staff are welcoming and show genuine care, contributing to the clean and well-maintained interior. Food: House Fried Rice: 5.9/10 A standout authentic dish with a perfect balance of ingredients, all cooked just right. General Tso Chicken: 4.9/10 Falls into the category of very average. While the chicken itself is of good quality, it lacked the expected crispiness, and the sauce was too sweet without any hint of spice. Crab Rangoon: 4.2/10 Tasty filling, but the wonton shell was unusually hard, giving the impression it was stale rather than crisp. Wonton Spicy Chili Sauce: 6.1/10 The wontons were delicious, especially with the flavorful sauce they were served in, making this dish a highlight. Beef Lo Mein: 5.5/10 An okay version of lo mein, made slightly unusual with the addition of orange peppers that added unexpected sweetness. The beef was somewhat bland but overall acceptable. Value: 5.5/10 Spending 80 before tip for a group of four, including appetizers, felt reasonable. However, the option for combo plates would greatly improve the ability to sample a broader range of the menu without committing to full-sized dishes.

Delightful Dinner at Acacia Tree Asian Cuisine On a peaceful Saturday evening, my family and I enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at Acacia Tree Asian Cuisine. The restaurant's serene ambiance made for a perfect family dinner setting. Dishes Enjoyed: -Beef Tendons in Szechuan Red Oil: The beef tendons were cooked to perfection, tender and infused with the rich, spicy flavors of Szechuan red oil. -Tree Cup Chicken: This dish was a standout, featuring tender chicken in a savory sauce that had us savoring every bite. -Egg Fried Green Chili Pepper: Ordered twice for good reason, these were perfectly crispy and spicy, complementing the other dishes beautifully. -Stir Fried Vegetables: Fresh and flavorful, these vegetables were a great side dish that balanced out the meal. Daily Specials: -Phoenix Claws: A must-try, these were prepared just right, with flavors that were both unique and delicious. -Hot Chili with Beef Mix: This dish was another hit, offering a spicy kick that spice lovers would appreciate. -Fermented Beans Fried with Mashed Pork: Uniquely flavorful, this dish was both hearty and satisfying. Overall Experience: Acacia Tree Asian Cuisine did a fantastic job of blending authentic Asian flavors with a cozy dining experience. Each dish was prepared with care, and the flavors were a testament to the quality of ingredients used. The service was attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Final Thoughts: For anyone looking for a spot to enjoy a family dinner or to delve into Asian cuisine, Acacia Tree Asian Cuisine is highly recommended. Their ability to deliver both traditional and unique dishes with exceptional flavor makes them a standout in the area.
